Albert Sharpe was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Sharpe began his career with roles in the romance "Portrait of Jennie" (1948) with Jennifer Jones, the Glenn Ford comedy "The Return of October" (1948) and "Up in Central Park" (1948). Sharpe then began to rack up a number of film credits, including roles in the Fred Astaire musical "Royal Wedding" (1951), the drama "Face to Face" (1952) with Robert Preston and the Gene Kelly adaptation "Brigadoon" (1954). He also appeared in "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" (1959). Later in his career, Sharpe acted in "The Day They Robbed the Bank of England" (1960) with Aldo Ray. Sharpe passed away in February 1970 at the age of 85.
