A big star in Italy and Latin America, Italian actress Ambra Angiolini began as a singer and TV host. Angiolini kicked off her pop music career in 1992 when she appeared on the Italian series "Non è la Rai" at the tender age of 15, and in 1994 her debut album, "T'appartengo," was released and sold over 100,000 copies in the first week. For the next few years, the young singer toured, performed, and recorded music, releasing her sophomore album, "Angiolini," in 1994. Though she had starred in the made-for-TV comedy "Favola" in 1996, Angiolini did not begin pursuing acting until the 2000s, when she obtained roles in the Biblical drama "Mary Magdalene," the TV movie "Gian Burrasca," and the 2007 ensemble film "Saturn in Opposition," for which she won the Nastro d'Argento award as Best Supporting Actress. Though she still appeared on music programs such as "TRL Italy" and "The X Factor," Angiolini leaned away from music to focus on acting, and became known for her roles in the 2008 romantic comedy "Black and White," and 2011's "The Immature" and "Anche se è amore non si vede." In 2004, Angiolini and her boyfriend, musician Francesco Renga, welcomed a daughter and in 2006, a son.
