Born and raised in Inglewood, California, Brown became interested in show business at a young age. Brown's smooth baritone voice landed him a number of jobs in the voiceover industry, playing characters in video games like Steel in "Superman: Man of Steel" (2002) and Williams in "Full Spectrum Warrior" (2004). In 2006, he made an appearance on an episode of the series "Sleeper Cell" (Showtime, 2005-06). Two years later, Brown played Staff Sgt. When the series wrapped in 2014, Brown was ready for his next major role, appearing opposite Viola Davis on the crime drama "How to Get Away with Murder" (ABC, 2014- ).
