Bryan Pringle was a big screen film actor known for powerful performances. Pringle began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the drama "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning" (1961) with Albert Finney, "H.M.S. Defiant" (1962) and the James Booth comedy "French Dressing" (1963). He also appeared in the Anne Heywood remake "Vengeance" (1964), the Michael Crawford dramatic adaptation "How I Won the War" (1967) and the Joan Crawford mystery "Berserk" (1967). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties, appearing in "Brazil" (1985), "Those Glory Glory Days" (1986) and the comedy "Haunted Honeymoon" (1986) with Gene Wilder. He also appeared in "Consuming Passions" (1988). More recently, he continued to act in the dramatic adaptation "Restoration" (1995) with Robert Downey Jr., the thriller "Dangerous Obsession" (1998) with Sherilyn Fenn and "B. Monkey" (1999) with Asia Argento. He also appeared in "The Legend of 1900" (1999) featuring Tim Roth. Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Prime Suspect" (PBS, 1991-92). Most recently, Pringle appeared in "Vanity Fair" (1999-2000).
