Grammy-winning Carlos Santana was a cherished music legend with an exceptional career. Santana worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "Fillmore" (1972), "Fort Apache, the Bronx" (1981) starring Paul Newman and "La Bamba" (1987). He also contributed to "Saturday Night Live" (NBC, 1975-), "The Rise and Fall of Ivor Dickie" with Donald Ward (1978) and "Woodstock" with Joan Baez (1970). In the nineties, Santana's music continued to appear on the silver screen, including in films like "Desperado" (1995), the action movie "The Long Kiss Goodnight" (1996) with Geena Davis and "Up on the Roof" (1997) with Billy Carter. His work was also in the Jeff Bridges crime thriller "The Big Lebowski" (1998). Santana won a Best Rock Instrumental Performance (Orchestra, Group or Soloist) Grammy Award in 1988. Santana's music was also featured in the Vin Diesel blockbuster action film "The Fast and the Furious" (2001), the Kate Hudson box office smash comedic adaptation "How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days" (2003) and the Adam Sandler hit comedy "Anger Management" (2003). His music was also featured in the romantic comedy "Love Actually" (2003) with Alan Rickman and the drama sequel "Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights" (2004) with Diego Luna. Santana most recently appeared on the Joni Mitchell documentary "Jaco" (2015).
