With her sardonic energy and knack for comic timing, Christine Ko first caught the attention of audiences with her role on the comedy series "The Great Indoors" (CBS, 2016-). Born in Chicago to Taiwanese parents, Ko was adopted by her aunt and uncle-whom to her, became mom and dad. Ko's biological parents returned to Taiwan, where her biological father, the singer Frankie Gao, continued his career as a popular performer in China. Ko took an interest in acting and dance as a youngster, and began considering a career as an actor while attending Georgia State University. When she graduated in 2010, Ko opted to spend over a year in Taiwan, utilizing her knowledge of Mandarin to gain experience in the industry on shows like "Youth Full Connection" (CHANNEL V 王子文). Upon returning to the States in 2011, Ko slowly but surely began racking up an impressive resume, appearing on shows like "Hollywood Heights" (Nick @ Nite, 2012), and in the TV movie "The Half of It" (CBS, 2015). After making a memorable guest appearance on an episode of the HBO sports comedy series "Ballers" (HBO, 2015-) in 2016, Ko finally booked her first co-starring role on the sitcom "The Great Indoors," which would find her starring alongside Joel McHale and the legendary Stephen Fry as Emma, a young social media specialist working for an online travel magazine.
