Christophe Beck is a composer of scores for both film and television. Studying music at Yale University, Beck went on to train as a composer at the Thornton School of Music in California. He began working on TV shows during the mid-1990s, composing music for the short-lived programs "Spy Game" and "F/X: The Series." In '97, Beck began contributing to Joss Whedon's supernatural comedy/drama series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," and his inventive work on the show garnered an Emmy the following year. Beck also composed pieces for the "Buffy" spin-off "Angel," and, around the same time, he branched out into the legal drama "The Practice." In 2000, Beck transitioned to film work, scoring the popular movie "Bring It On" and a succession of other comedic and romantic features, including "Big Fat Liar," "Under the Tuscan Sun," and "Cheaper by the Dozen." Contributing to both the '06 remake of "The Pink Panther" and its sequel, Beck also scored the massive hit comedy "The Hangover," making him a go-to Hollywood film composer.
