Colin Gordon was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Gordon's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the Spencer Tracy dramatic adaptation "Edward, My Son" (1948), "Grand National Night" (1953) and the Burgess Meredith drama "The Gay Adventure" (1953). He also appeared in "The Heart of the Matter" (1954) with Trevor Howard, the comedic adaptation "The Green Man" (1956) with George Cole and "The One That Got Away" (1958). He kept working in film throughout the fifties and the sixties, starring in the "The Mouse That Roared" (1959) film Peter Sellers, the crime picture "The Day They Robbed the Bank of England" (1960) with Aldo Ray and "Virgin Island" (1960) with John Cassavetes. He also appeared in the adaptation "Burn, Witch, Burn" (1962) with Janet Blair. In the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in the comedy "Alive and Kicking" (1964) with Sybil Thorndike, "Don't Bother to Knock" (1964) with Richard Todd and "The Family Way" (1966). He also appeared in the Frankie Howerd comedy sequel "The Great St. Trinian's Train Robbery" (1966) and the dramatic adaptation "The Liquidator" (1966) with Trevor Howard. Gordon more recently acted in "The Body Beneath" (1970). Gordon passed away in October 1972 at the age of 61.
