Despite an early career boost as a preteen actor on the 1984 made-for-TV melodrama "Secrets of a Married Man," Canadian Dameon Clarke would wait nearly a decade to begin work as a voice talent for the United States anime studio Funimation. Best known for voicing various characters in the "Dragon Ball" and "Dragon Ball Z" series, Clarke stuck primarily to animation roles throughout the 1990s, making occasional excursions into live action acting by late-decade. After earning small parts in the 2004 shoot-'em-up "The Alamo" and the Richard Linklater-directed live action/animation hybrid "A Scanner Darkly" (2006), Clarke returned to the "Dragon Ball" franchise as principal character "Cell" on a series of video game tie-ins. By the late-'00s the actor made his TV breakthrough with a memorable guest shot on the hit Fox series "24," and earned his most visible film role as a lawyer in the quirky 2009 comedy-drama "I Love You Phillip Morris."
