Fame came early to Daveigh Chase, who booked her first commercial at age seven and was cast in a starring role in the musical "Utah!" a year later. Chase made her television debut on a 1998 episode of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" and racked up a first film job with a role in the cheapie 1999 thriller "Her Married Lover." Television appearances on "Charmed," "ER," and "The Practice" followed and while landing a part in the cult indie film "Donnie Darko" was a major coup, Chase's big break came when she landed a job doing voiceover animation work for the 2002 Disney film "Lilo & Stitch." Not only did it open up doors for similar parts like the American dub of the Japanese animated feature "Spirited Away," but her role as Lilo carried over to a television series and a direct-to-video sequel. Japan was also the source for another huge Chase role, this time as the malevolent Samara Morgan in the 2002 American remake of the smash horror film "The Ring," which provided her with a ready-made teen following. Chase further expanded her fanbase when she was cast as Harry Dean Stanton's teen bride Rhonda Volmer in HBO's "Big Love," a 2006 series about fictional fundamentalist Mormons.
