David Cale was an actor most recognized for his roles in dramatic film. Cale began his acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the comedy "Radio Days" (1987) with Mia Farrow, "Moon Over Parador" (1988) with Richard Dreyfuss and the Elizabeth Perkins dramatic comedy "He Said, She Said" (1991). He also appeared in "Final Rinse" (1999) and the comedic drama "Illuminata" (1999) with Leo Bassi. He had a part on the television special "Bette Midler's Mondo Beyondo" (HBO, 1987-88). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "Minotaur" (Cinemax, 2000-01). In the nineties and the early 2000s, he worked on the television shows "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1999-), "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (2001-2011) and "The Good Wife" (CBS, 2009-2016). He also appeared in "The Unusuals" (ABC, 2009). Additionally, he later acted in "The Slaughter Rule" (2003) with Ryan Gosling. Cale focused on film in more recent years, appearing in the romance "Two Lovers" (2009) with Joaquin Phoenix, the Adam Goldberg romance "Untitled" (2009) and "Coming Up Roses" (2012). He also appeared in the drama "Winter in the Blood" (2014) with Chaske Spencer. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "The Blacklist" (NBC, 2013-). Cale most recently acted in the Jonah Hill crime drama "True Story" (2015).
