David Fine built quite a career for himself as an Academy Award-winning actor. Fine began his acting career appearing mainly in films, such as the Robin Williams blockbuster dramatic adaptation "Patch Adams" (1998) and the William van Nolan drama "Down Time" (2001). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "Nash Bridges" (CBS, 1995-2001). Fine won a Jury award Montreal World Film Festival for "George and Rosemary" in 1987 as well as a Short Film (Animated) Academy Award for "Bob's Birthday" in 1994. He kept working in film throughout the early 2000s, starring in the comedy adaptation "Haiku Tunnel" (2001) with Josh Kornbluth, the crime feature "Scheme C6" (2001) with Cory Duval and the dramatic adaptation "Sweet November" (2001) with Keanu Reeves. He also appeared in the Peter Quartaroli drama "Broken Arrows" (2005) and the Rosario Dawson dramatic adaptation "Rent" (2005). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Will Smith hit dramatic adaptation "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006) and "Around June" (2012) with Brad William Henke. He held additional roles in television including a part on "Burn Notice" (USA, 2006-2013). Most recently, Fine acted in "The Diary of a Teenage Girl" (2015).
