The star of three phenomenally popular television series - "The Young and the Restless" (CBS, 1973- ), "Knight Rider" (NBC, 1982-86) and "Baywatch" (NBC/syndicated, 1989-2001) - Hasselhoff was adored by millions of fans around the world, particularly in Germany. He worked with good cheer and a sense of full commitment to every role he took on, even occasionally indulging in a bit of good-humored self-parody. Through it all, his star power continued to shine strong.
