Dominic Fumusa

Dominic Fumusa was an American stage and screen actor who was best known for his role as Kevin Payton on Showtime's "Nurse Jackie" (2009-2015). Despite being widely recognized as a prolific TV actor, Fumusa got his start on Broadway. In the late '90s, he appeared alongside Marisa Tomei and Quentin Tarantino in a revival of "Wait Until Dark," and was part of the cast of 2003's Tony Award-winning "Take Me Out." In the early 2000s, however, Fumusa started auditioning for TV roles and landed guest spots on such hit shows as "Sex and the City" (HBO, 1998-2004), "The Sopranos" (HBO, 1999-2007), and "CSI: Miami" (CBS, 2002-2012). Fumusa continued appearing in one-off TV roles throughout most of the 2000s, before landing his first big break in 2008 with a recurring role on the long-running soap opera "As the World Turns" (CBS, 1956-2010). The following year, Fumusa nabbed his biggest role to date as Kevin Payton, the tough-as-nails husband of Edie Falco's pill-popping main character on Showtime's "Nurse Jackie." Fumusa appeared in all but one of the series' 80 episodes, and was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild, along with the rest of the cast, in 2013. When the "Nurse Jackie" ended its seven-season run in 2015, Fumusa continued to land film and TV parts, most notably in the Will Smith crime drama "Focus" (2015).
