Dominic Zamprogna is an actor known most recently for his portrayal of Dante Falconeri on the classic soap opera "General Hospital." Zamprogna made his film debut at just 12, playing a supporting character in the Bryan Brown-Brian Dennehy-starring action thriller sequel "F/X2" in 1991. In 1997, he co-starred with the late Chris Penn in the "Stand By Me"-like crime drama "The Boys Club," which was shot in Zamprogna's native Ontario. After several guest stints in the '90s on such Canadian productions as the horror anthology sereis "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and the martial arts drama "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues," in 2001 Zamprogna landed a lead role on the socially conscious, high school-based family drama, "Edgemont," where he appeared until 2005 and won a Leo Award for his performance in its final season. While "Edgemont" was on hiatus in 2004, he began a guest run on the highly successful remake of the sci-fi cult classic "Battlestar Galactica," as James "Jammer" Lyman, who was then spun off as the central character on the sci-fi mini-series "Battlestar Galactica: Resistance." Though Zamprogna later added another sci-fi dynasty, "SGU Stargate Universe," to his resume, the amply buff actor moved away from the genre and toward more romantic fare, first with a brief stop on the drama series "The L Word" in 2008, followed in 2009 by his "General Hospital" gig.
