Dory Previn brought her musical talents to a variety of films over the course of her Hollywood career. Previn began her entertainment career with her music featured in films like the crime thriller "Harper" (1966) with Paul Newman, the Natalie Wood dramatic adaptation "Inside Daisy Clover" (1966) and the dramatic adaptation "Valley of the Dolls" (1967) with Barbara Parkins. She was nominated for an Academy Award for "The Sterile Cuckoo" in 1969. . Previn was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for "Two Marriages" in 1984. Previn's other work was featured in the Gillian Anderson dramatic comedy "Playing By Heart" (1998) and the action film "Fight Club" (1999) with Edward Norton. Previn's music was most recently used in the Bradley Cooper smash hit comedy adaptation "Silver Linings Playbook" (2012). Previn passed away in February 2012 at the age of 87.
