Eleanor David found incredible success as an accomplished actor, appearing in a variety of films throughout his Hollywood career. David's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as "Pink Floyd The Wall" (1982), "Comfort and Joy" (1984) and "Sylvia" (1985). He had an early role on the television special "Shroud For a Nightingale" (PBS, 1986-87). He additionally landed roles in the TV movies "Oliver Twist" (CBS, 1981-82) and "The Scarlet Pimpernel" (CBS, 1982-83). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the eighties and the nineties, appearing in the dramatic adaptation "84 Charing Cross Road" (1987) with Anne Bancroft, "Slipstream" (1989) and the Stephanie Beacham fantasy "The Wolves of Willoughby Chase" (1989). He also appeared in "Ladder of Swords" (1990). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Timothy Dalton historical love story "The King's Whore" (1990), the drama "London Kills Me" (1992) with Justin Chadwick and "Topsy-Turvy" (1999). He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Barney's Version" (2010) with Paul Giamatti. Most recently, David acted in the drama "House of Boys" (2011) with Udo Kier.
