Frances Robinson was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Robinson kickstarted her acting career in various films such as "Tim Tyler's Luck" (1937), "Forbidden Valley" (1938) and "Letter of Introduction" (1938) with Adolphe Menjou. She also appeared in "Red Barry" (1938), "Desperate Trails" (1939) and the period drama "Tower of London" (1939) with Basil Rathbone. She kept working in film throughout the forties, starring in "The Invisible Man Returns" (1940), "The Lone Wolf Keeps a Date" (1940) and the Spencer Tracy horror film "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" (1941). She also appeared in the adaptation "Smilin' Through" (1941) with Jeanette MacDonald and "Suddenly It's Spring" (1947). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in the Virginia Mayo drama "Backfire" (1950), the Marlon Brando comedy "Bedtime Story" (1964) and the dramatic adaptation "Kitten With a Whip" (1964) with Ann-Margret. She also appeared in the action flick "The Lively Set" (1964) with James Darren and the Fred MacMurray comedy adaptation "Happiest Millionaire" (1967). Robinson more recently appeared in "A Storm in Summer" (NBC, 1969-1970).
