Francesca Neri is an Italian actress who naturally exudes an air of intelligence and mystery. She was first seen by American audiences in the 1990 low-budget super hero film, "Captain America," but it was in 1993 that she drew attention from international audiences in two popular films: the Italian thriller "The Flight of the Innocent" and Spanish director Carlos Saura's suspense film "Outrage." Neri portrayed another complicated heroine in Pedro Almodovar's 1997 film "Live Flesh," playing a character that goes from junkie to orphanage owner. Big budget Hollywood films called in the 2000s, with Neri being cast as a wife attracted to the killer Hannibal Lecter in Ridley Scott's "Hannibal" and as a romantic interest for Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 2002 action film "Collateral Damage." Her stay in Hollywood did not attract much notice, so Neri returned to work in Italy, where she still appeared steadily as an actress in her 40s.
