Born in 1981 in Rouyn-Noranda, Quebec, Canada, Francis Ducharme quickly grew out of his small town and traveled around the world as a dancer and actor. At 17, he was accepted into the Collège Lionel-Groulx theater school. His love of the arts led him to the theater, and finally film and television. His first screen appearance was on the Canadian children's show "Watatatow" (Radio-Canada, 1991-2005). In 2005, he had a supporting role in the Jean-Marc Vallée film "C.R.A.Z.Y." (2005), which followed the tortured journey of a young man struggling with his sexual identity in a conservative family during the mid-1970s. Ducharme played the role of Paul, who is involved with both the lead character, Zac, and Zac's female cousin. On the TV series "Nos étés" (TVA, 2005-08), a family drama that spanned numerous generations, Ducharme found his first recurring role as the young Robert Forget. He was a series regular on "Fréquences" (2012), following the escapades of an obsessed professor and his students who undergo mind altering experiments. Ducharme next starred in a feature version of "Chasse-Galerie" (2016), a French-Canadian legend about a flying canoe.
