Voice actor Grey DeLisle was born Erin Grey Van Oosbree in Fort Ord, California. DeLisle's parents separated when DeLisle was a young child, and she was raised for the majority of her childhood by her mother's mother, a salsa musician who performed with the legendary Tito Puente. DeLisle graduated from Chula Vista High School and began to pursue a singing career, but on the advice of a friend she elected to pursue comedy. Her work in comedy involved doing impressions, voices and characters. Her skill led to an encounter with a talent agent who advised DeLisle to pursue voice acting training. While DeLisle was set on working as a singer and a musician, she began to cultivate her skill doing character and voices and began booking work in animated series. She voiced the character of Daphne in the "Scooby-Doo" (1969-) animated franchise, and has voiced characters in several long-running series such as "The Fairly OddParents" (Nickelodeon, 2001-2018), "Danny Phantom," (Nickelodeon, 2004-07), and "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" (The Cartoon Network, 2004-10). DeLisle has also voiced characters in a variety of video games, including "Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker," "Batman: Arkham City," and "Heroes of the Storm." In 2019 it was announced that DeLisle would be the new voice of Martin Prince on "The Simpsons" (Fox, 1990-) following the death of Russi Taylor, the voice actor who previously played that role.
