Howard Goorney's talent as an actor was best showcased by his dramatic film work. Goorney had an early acting career in film, appearing in such titles as the dramatic adaptation "The Hill" (1965) with Sean Connery, the Peter Cook comedic fantasy "Bedazzled" (1967) and "Berserk" (1967). He also appeared in the drama "Take a Girl Like You" (1970) with Noel Harrison and the Topol dramatic adaptation "Fiddler on the Roof" (1971). He worked in series television while getting his start in acting, including a part on "The Six Wives of Henry VIII" (PBS, 1970). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the seventies and the eighties, appearing in the action flick "Innocent Bystanders" (1972) with Stanley Baker, the drama "Savage Messiah" (1972) with Dorothy Tutin and the dramatic adaptation "The Offence" (1973) with Sean Connery. He also appeared in "To the Devil, a Daughter" (1976). He also landed a role in the miniseries "Peter and Paul" (1980-81). His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "The Wall" (CBS, 1981-82). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Changing Stages" (PBS, 2000-01). Additionally, he appeared on the television special "Bramwell II" (PBS, 1996-97). Goorney most recently acted on "Born and Bred (BBC)" (BBC 1, 2001-05).
