James Fleet was a prolific actor who created a name for himself largely on the big screen. Fleet's early acting career consisted of roles in various films, such as "Defence of the Realm" (1986), the comedy "They Never Slept" (1990) with Edward Fox and the Roshan Seth Obe comedy "Electric Moon" (1992). He also appeared in the drama "Blue Black Permanent" (1993) with Jack Shepherd. His film career continued throughout the nineties in productions like the comedy "Three Steps to Heaven" (1995) with Katrin Cartlidge, the Alan Bates comedic adaptation "Grotesque" (1997) and "Remember Me?" (1999) with Imelda Staunton. He also appeared in the Phyllida Law comedic drama "Milk" (1999). In his more recent career, he continued to act in the Kenneth Cranham dramatic adaptation "Two Men Went to War" (2004), the dramatic adaptation "The Phantom of the Opera" (2004) with Gerard Butler and "Tristram Shandy: A Cock and Bull Story" (2006). He also appeared in the biographical drama "Mr. Turner" (2014) with Timothy Spall. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Death Comes to Pemberley" (PBS, 2013). Fleet most recently appeared in "Billionaire Boy" (BBC 1, 2015-).
