Jason Presson landed his first movie at the age of 12 as Bruce Kaleb in the 1983 science-fiction made-for-television movie "Wishman." This role led to a slew of minor parts for the child actor throughout the 1980s. In 1984 Presson performed alongside Glenn Close and Robert Duvall in "The Stone Boy," playing Arnold Hillerman--a young boy growing up in rural America who accidentally shoots his brother and then must live out the consequences of his instrumental role in the tragedy. A year later Presson was cast as a main character in the children's science-fiction film "Explorers." His character, Darren Woods, is a young misfit who helps his friend Ben--played by an adolescent Ethan Hawke--build a circuit board that becomes the basis for their starship. Presson appeared in a number of made-for-television movies over the next decade, including "The B.R.A.T. Patrol" and "The Leftovers." His last major motion-picture role was in the 1988 horror spoof "Saturday the 14th Strikes Back," in which he plays Eddie Baxter, a boy whose family moves into a dilapidated house only to discover the sinister evil that lurks within. The actor was cast in several more minor roles, including parts in "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" and the made-for-television movie "Trials of Life," before retiring from film in 1997.
