Jerry Colonna was an actor who graced the silver screen many times throughout his Hollywood career. He received the Air Force Scroll of Appreciation for entertaining overseas troops. Colonna began his acting career appearing in various films, such as "Rosalie" (1937) with Nelson Eddy, the Shirley Temple Black musical "Little Miss Broadway" (1938) and "College Swing" (1938) with Gracie Allen. He also appeared in "Sweepstakes Winner" (1939), the musical comedy "Naughty But Nice" (1939) with Ann Sheridan and the Bing Crosby comedy "Road to Singapore" (1940). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like the Judy Canova comedy adaptation "True to the Army" (1942), the comedy "Atlantic City" (1944) with Constance Moore and "It's in the Bag" (1945). He also lent his voice to the Kathryn Beaumont animated film "Alice in Wonderland" (1951). Colonna was most recently credited in the documentary "Entertaining the Troops" (1988) with Bob Hope. Additionally, he could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The Bob Hope Show (01/16/59)" (1958-59), "Frances Langford Presents" (NBC, 1958-59) and "The Bob Hope Show (01/13/60)" (NBC, 1959-1960). He also appeared in "The Bob Hope Show (01/11/61)" (NBC, 1960-61). Colonna passed away in November 1986 at the age of 82.
