Actor Joe Silver was widely known for his presence on the silver screen. Silver's early acting career mostly consisted of roles in various films, such as the drama "Move" (1970) with Elliott Gould, the Zero Mostel dramatic adaptation "Rhinoceros" (1972) and the Richard Dreyfuss dramatic adaptation "The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz" (1974). He also appeared in "Shivers" (1975). He worked in television in his early acting career as well, including a part on "Ryan's Hope" (ABC, 1974-1989). Silver also lent his vocal talents to the Didi Conn animated feature "Raggedy Ann & Andy" (1976). His passion for acting continued to his roles in projects like "You Light Up My Life" (1977), "Rabid" (1977) and the drama "Boardwalk" (1979) with Ruth Gordon. He also appeared in the dramatic adaptation "Deathtrap" (1982) with Michael Caine. Toward the end of his career, he tackled roles in the dramatic comedy "The Gig" (1985) with Wayne Rogers, the adventure "Magic Sticks" (1987) with George Kranz and "Mr. Nice Guy" (1987) with Mike MacDonald. He also lent his distinctive voice to "Creepshow 2" (1987). Silver most recently worked on "Blue's Birthday" (Nickelodeon, 1997-98).
