John Gallaudet was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Gallaudet's career in acting began with his roles in various films like the dramatic comedy "Adventure in Manhattan" (1936) with Jean Arthur, the drama "The Final Hour" (1936) with Ralph Bellamy and "Alibi For Murder" (1936). He also appeared in the Bing Crosby musical "Pennies From Heaven" (1936), "Racketeers in Exile" (1937) and "Devil's Playground" (1937). His film career continued throughout the thirties in productions like "The Man Who Dared" (1939), the Bing Crosby musical "The Star Maker" (1939) and the George Brent action movie "Wings of the Navy" (1939). He also appeared in "Street of Missing Men" (1939). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "April Showers" (1948) with Jack Carson, "Docks of New Orleans" (1948) with Roland Winters and "Task Force" (1949). He also appeared in the crime picture "Quicksand" (1950) with Mickey Rooney and the Paul Douglas fantastical comedy "Angels in the Outfield" (1951). Gallaudet last acted on "Mannix" (CBS, 1967-1975). Gallaudet passed away in November 1983 at the age of 80.
