Jonathan Hale was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Hale's earliest roles were in film, including the dramatic adaptation "Alice Adams" (1935) with Katharine Hepburn, the Richard Arlen adaptation "Three Live Ghosts" (1935) and the Lionel Barrymore drama "The Voice of Bugle Ann" (1936). He also appeared in "Educating Father" (1936), the mystery "Charlie Chan at the Race Track" (1936) with Warner Oland and the mystery "Charlie Chan's Secret" (1936) with Warner Oland. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the thirties, appearing in "In Name Only" (1939), "The Saint Strikes Back" (1939) and the Gene Autry western "In Old Monterey" (1939). He also appeared in the action picture "Wings of the Navy" (1939) with George Brent. Nearing the end of his career, he continued to act in "G.I. Honeymoon" (1945), the western "Dakota" (1945) with John Wayne and "Angel on My Shoulder" (1946). He also appeared in "The Cat Creeps" (1946) and "Easy to Wed" (1946) with Van Johnson. Hale was most recently credited in "Toddlers & Tiaras" (TLC, 2008-2013). Hale passed away in February 1966 at the age of 75.
