Josh Stamberg's acting career got a boost from early roles in TV series and films like the Manolo Blahnik-obsessed HBO series, "Sex and the City," and the time travel romantic comedy, "Kate & Leopold." After minor parts in numerous shows, including the critically-acclaimed, "Six Feet Under," Stamberg landed a recurring role as a reckless platoon leader in producer Steven Bochco's war series, "Over There." The show, which followed a U.S. Army infantry unit stationed in Iraq, drew criticism for its graphic violence and refusal to offer any opinion on the real-life conflict which led to its cancelation after just 13 episodes. Stamberg next appeared as a hotshot lawyer in the love-in-the-big-city sitcom, "Courting Alex," and co-starred with Ryan Gosling in "Fracture," about a rising deputy attorney caught in a battle of wits with a manipulative killer. In 2006, he landed a supporting role on the Aaron Sorkin series, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip," which depicted the personalities and conflicts that went on behind the scenes of a "Saturday Night Live"-inspired sketch comedy show. Stamberg portrayed Luke, a rookie writer who ultimately finds success as a film writer and director, for several episodes of the short-lived show. After a supporting role in the fantasy horror film, "Legion," Stamberg has since been cast as the self-centered boss of a high-powered law firm on the supernatural drama, "Drop Dead Diva."
