Born September 13, 1948, the actress Kathleen Lloyd emerged on the 1970s television scene with intense and immediate potency, appearing on series such as "Adam-12," "Ironside," "Emergency!," "Room 222," and "Marcus Welby, M.D." within a space of only a few years. In 1976, she made her feature-film debut opposite Marlon Brando and Jack Nicholson in the Western thriller "The Missouri Breaks," starring as a farm girl targeted by a roaming horse thief. After featuring in the possessed-vehicle horror "The Car" and the monster-baby shocker "It Lives Again" (other films she would appear in the concurrent "Skateboard" and 1987's "Best Seller"), Lloyd once again took the TV world by storm. In addition to guesting on such '80s series as the revamped "The Twilight Zone" and the action-packed "The Incredible Hulk," the actress garnered a recurring role as a devoted nurse on the influential cop show "Hill Street Blues," and frequent appearances as Assistant District Attorney Carol Baldwin on the long-running swinging-detective adventure "Magnum, P.I." Frequently embodying the concerns and supportive attitudes of wives and caretakers, Lloyd took guest roles on series such as "Diagnosis Murder" and portrayed the sympathetic spouse of a deputy D.A. on the short-lived dramatic series "Equal Justice." She retired from acting after appearing as a teacher on the quintessential family drama "7th Heaven" in 2003.
