British-born Lana Morris was an actress who built herself a successful Hollywood film career. In 1948, she appeared as a provocative Cockney maid in the British box office hit "Spring in Park Lane." In 1946, she made her screen debut at age 16 in "School For Secrets." In 1946, she made her stage debut as an unbilled dancer in "A Midsummer Night's Dream." In 1957, she was a regular on the Margaret Lockwood hit BBC series "The Royalty." In 1967, she acted with Gladys Cooper and Wendy Hiller in the London stage production "The Sacred Flame." In 1996, she appeared at the unveiling of a Mayfair plaque to the star and director of the film "Spring in Park Lane," Dame Ann Neagle and Herbert Wilcox. In 1970, she starred in the London stage productions of "Wait Until Dark" and "Play on Love." In 1983, she took over Judi Dench's leading role in the touring production of "Pack of Lies." Morris's career beginnings included film roles in "Trottie True" (1949) and "The Reluctant Widow" (1950). Later, Morris acted in "The Red Beret" (1953), "Trouble in Store" (1955) with Norman Wisdom and "Jet Storm" (1959) with Richard Attenborough. She also appeared in "I Start Counting" (1969) and "The Forsyte Saga" (PBS, 1969-1970). Later in her career, Morris appeared in "The Last Enemy" (PBS, 1989-1990). Morris was married to Ronnie Waldman and had one child. Morris passed away in May 1998 at the age of 68.
