Leopold Stokowski worked in a variety of genres and built up a diverse and reputable career. Stokowski's career beginnings include film roles in the Jack Benny musical "The Big Broadcast of 1937" (1936) and "100 Men and a Girl" (1937). Stokowski had a diverse career throughout the forties and the early 2000s, including "Carnegie Hall" with Marsha Hunt (1947), "The Choice" (CBS, 1980-81), "All Night Long" (1981), "Carnegie Hall at 100: A Place of Dreams" (PBS, 1990-91) and "Theremin: An Electronic Odyssey" (1995) starring Clara Rockmore. Toward the end of his career, Stokowski provided music for "DOA: Dead or Alive" (2007). Stokowski was married to Gloria Vanderbilt. Leopold Stokowski passed away in September 1977 at the age of 95.
