After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California, Marco Rodriguez taught briefly in the Los Angeles Unified School District. But he soon embarked on a full-fledged acting career with his debut as "El Pachuco" in the Mark Taper Forum's production of the musical "Zoot Suit." Although Rodriguez continued to act in theatre, it was television and movies that earned him a comfortable living. Beginning in the early 1980s he began appearing in guest spots, usually as characters of Hispanic origin, on several popular TV shows, among them "Hill Street Blues," "T.J. Hooker," and "L.A. Law." Throughout the '90s Rodriguez continued to act in movies and TV, but also began lending his voice to video games, including "Area 51," "Just Cause," and the Western-themed video game "Red Dead Redemption." In 2010 he began appearing in a recurring role as baseball manager Roger Hernandez on the second season of the HBO comedy series "Eastbound and Down."
