For over 30 years, Marta DuBois has shown she can hold her own with some of television's top leading men. She started out with guest appearances on dramatic series and made-for-TV movies, but before long she landed a co-starring role in "Tales of the Gold Monkey," an early '80s adventure series that bore resemblance to the classic film "To Have and Have Not." Interestingly, she was cast as Princess Koji, a Japanese woman in the stereotypical Dragon Lady mold, despite being Panamanian herself. The show lasted only one season but led to steady television work throughout the '80s and '90s. During this time, she also appeared in "Gold Monkey"-creator Donald P. Bellisario's action series "Magnum, P.I." as Michelle Hue (a character she also originated on the show in '81), the main protagonist's long-lost love. In addition, she guest-starred on "The A-Team" and "Matlock," acquitting herself well in male-dominated ensembles. As if acting with Tom Selleck and Andy Griffith didn't provide access to enough testosterone, she also appeared across from the Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno, in 1989's "The Trial of the Incredible Hulk." Starting in 2005, she began costarring on the Hallmark Channel's "McBride" series of films as Roberta Hansen, a highly competent LAPD homicide detective who solves cases along with the title character.
