Mary Carr was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. In her early acting career, Carr appeared in such films as "Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch" (1919), "Hogan's Alley" (1925) and the adaptation "The Wizard of Oz" (1925) with Larry Semon. She also appeared in "Pleasures of the Rich" (1926) and "Blonde or Brunette" (1927). Her passion for acting continued to her roles in projects like the Fred Thomson western "Jesse James" (1927), "On Your Toes" (1927) and "Lights of New York" (1928). She also appeared in "Law of the Tong" (1931) and "The Fighting Marshal" (1931). In the latter half of her career, she tackled roles in the comedy "Pack Up Your Troubles" (1932) with Stan Laurel, "Gun Law" (1933) and "Police Call" (1933). She also appeared in "The World Accuses" (1935) and the Sunset Carson western "Oregon Trail" (1945). Carr more recently acted in "Friendly Persuasion" (1956) with Gary Cooper. Carr passed away in June 1973 at the age of 99.
