Matt Schulze originally set out to become a studio musician. At age 16, Schulze moved from his hometown of St. Louis, Miss., to study guitar at the Atlanta Institute of Music. After returning to St. Louis and teaching guitar for several years, he moved to Los Angeles in 1992 to pursue a career as a musician. Upon his arrival in California Schulze found employment as a model; he worked for Levi's on the runway and was also featured in printed advertising, catching the eye of numerous Hollywood casting directors. Making his first big-screen appearance as Crease in the 1998 vampire action film "Blade," Schulze decided to shift his attention to acting, which he much preferred over modeling. He appeared in several low-profile movies and television shows before landing the role of Vince in "The Fast and the Furious" in 2001, acting alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker. The following year he revisited the "Blade" franchise, playing a different character--Chupa--in Guillermo del Toro's sequel, "Blade II." Schulze subsequently had roles in several high-octane, action-packed movies, including 2002's "The Transporter," 2004's "Torque," and 2006's "Seven Mummies." In 2009, he acted alongside Jason Bateman in Mike Judge's comedy "Extract," appearing as Willie--a friend of Bateman's character, Joel. Schulze trained as a mixed martial arts fighter before returning to his role as Vince in "Fast Five," the fifth iteration of "The Fast and the Furious" franchise, in 2011.
