Matthew Mercer

Matthew Mercer is a Los Angeles-based actor best known for his roles in animation and video games. Mercer's extensive training in theater, improv, and being a life-long hardcore gamer helped prepare him for mainstream pop culture projects and characters. Such roles include Dollman and Black Arrow in "Freedom Fighters: The Ray" (CW, 2017-18), Hermes in "Blood of Zeus" (Netflix, 2019- ), Jotaro Kujo in "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean" (Netflix, 2021- ), as Cole Cassidy in the video game Overwatch as well as numerous other video game and anime projects. He is chief creative officer, primary cast member and executive producer of the animated series "The Legend of Vox Machina" (Amazon Prime Video, 2021- ). Mercer was named Voice Actor of the Year (2017) for his role as McCree at the Behind the Voice Actors Awards, where he also received a win for Best Vocal Ensemble in a Video Game. Other awards include three BTVA People's Choice Voice Acting Awards, two BTVA Video Game Voice Acting Awards and a BTVA Anime Dub Television/OVA Voice Acting Award.
