Maurice Hines was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Hines began his career with a role in the Richard Gere crime feature "The Cotton Club" (1984). Later, Hines acted in "Broadway Sings: The Music of Jule Styne" (PBS, 1986-87) and "The Nicholas Brothers: We Sing and We Dance" (1992-93). More recently, Hines acted on "Cosby" (CBS, 1996-2000).
