Melanie Chartoff was an actress who had a successful Hollywood career. Chartoff kickstarted her acting career in comedies like "Doin' Time" (1984) starring Jeff Altman and the Josh Mostel film "Stoogemania" (1986). She also appeared in the TV movie "Can You Hear the Laughter?: The Story of Freddie Prinze" (CBS, 1979-1980). She had a part on the television special "Battle of the Network Stars X" (ABC, 1980-81). Chartoff worked in television around the start of her acting career with a role on "Fridays" (ABC, 1979-1982). She also landed a role in the miniseries "Kenny Rogers as "The Gambler" III -- The Legend Continues" (1987-88). In the eighties and the nineties, she acted in "Take Five" (CBS, 1986-87) and "Parker Lewis" (Fox, 1990-92). She also was featured in the TV movie "Plato's Run" (HBO, 1996-97). She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Ally McBeal" (Fox, 1997-2002). She also lent her distinctive voice to "Rugrats in Paris - The Movie" (2000) featuring Kath Soucie. Chartoff most recently acted on "No Ordinary Family" (ABC, 2010-11).
