Ned Sparks was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Sparks kickstarted his acting career in various films such as "The Auction Block" (1926), "The Big Noise" (1928) and "The Canary Murder Case" (1929) with William Powell. He also appeared in the adaptation "Love Comes Along" (1930) with Bebe Daniels, "Double Cross Roads" (1930) and "The Devil's Holiday" (1930). He kept working in film throughout the thirties, starring in the Sylvia Sidney dramatic adaptation "The Miracle Man" (1932), the Marion Davies action film "Operator 13" (1933) and the musical "Too Much Harmony" (1933) with Bing Crosby. He also appeared in the Warren William adaptation "Gold Diggers of 1933" (1933). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Marie Galante" (1934), "Imitation of Life" (1934) with Claudette Colbert and the Paul Muni dramedy "Hi, Nellie!" (1934). He also appeared in the musical "George White's 1935 Scandals" (1935) with Alice Faye and the adaptation "Sweet Adeline" (1935) with Irene Dunne. Sparks more recently acted in "Magic Town" (1947). Sparks passed away in April 1957 at the age of 74.
