Pamela Stephenson appeared in a number of comedic films, always bringing a spark of joy and laughter to whatever role she takes on. Stephenson started her acting career landing roles in films, such as "Private Collection" (1972), "Stand Up Virgin Soldiers" (1977) and "The Comeback" (1978). She also appeared in "Doctors and Nurses" (1981). She worked in television in her early acting career as well, including a part on "Not the Nine O'Clock News" (1980-81). She continued to act in productions like the comedy "History of the World Part I" (1981) with Mel Brooks"The Secret Policeman's Other Ball" (1981) with Rowan Atkinson and the action movie "Superman III" (1983) with Christopher Reeve. She also appeared in "Bloodbath at the House of Death" (1984) and "Finders Keepers" (1984). Film continued to be her passion as she played roles in "Scandalous" (1984) with Robert Hays, "Those Dear Departed" (1987) and "Les Patterson Saves the World" (1990) starring Barry "Dame Edna" Humphries. She also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Lost Empires" (PBS, 1986-87). Additionally, she could be seen on a variety of television specials like "The Australian Royal Bicentennial Concert" (1988-89). She also lent her distinctive voice to "Spitting Image: Down and Out in the White House" (NBC, 1986-87). Stephenson most recently appeared on "The Graham Norton Show" (BBC, 2006-). Stephenson's husband was Billy Connolly.
