British actor Peter Butterworth captivated audiences with his incredible performances on the big screen. Butterworth began his acting career appearing in various films, such as the documentary "Old Mother Riley's Jungle Treasure" (1951) with Arthur Lucan, the adaptation "Tom Thumb" (1958) with Russ Tamblyn and the sci-fi picture "The Day the Earth Caught Fire" (1961) with Janet Munro. He also appeared in "The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders" (1965) with Kim Novak, the Frankie Howerd comedy "Carry on Doctor" (1968) and "Prudence and the Pill" (1968). He kept working in film throughout the sixties and the seventies, starring in the comedy "Carry on Again, Doctor" (1969) with Kenneth Williams, "Carry on Camping" (1969) with Sidney James and the Elke Sommer comedy "Carry on Behind" (1975). He also appeared in the Kenneth Connor comedy "Carry on England" (1976) and the historical romance "Robin and Marian" (1976) with Sean Connery. During the latter half of his career, he tackled roles in "The Ritz" (1976), "What's Up Nurse" (1977) and "Carry on Emmannuelle" (1978). He also appeared in "The First Great Train Robbery" (1979) with Sean Connery. He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Carry on Laughing" (1980-81). Butterworth most recently acted in the Sidney James adventure "Carry On Dick" (2012).
