Peter Madden has built an incredible presence on the big screen throughout his acting career. Madden started his acting career landing roles in such films as the action film "Floods of Fear" (1958) with Howard Keel, the dramatic adaptation "Exodus" (1960) with Paul Newman and the drama "Saturday Night and Sunday Morning" (1961) with Albert Finney. He also appeared in "A Kind of Loving" (1962), "The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner" (1962) and "The Road to Hong Kong" (1962). He kept working in film throughout the sixties, starring in the Susan Hayward dramatic adaptation "Stolen Hours" (1963), the Sean Connery action picture "From Russia With Love" (1964) and the Alan Bates dramatic comedy "Nothing But the Best" (1964). He also appeared in the drama "Woman of Straw" (1964) with Gina Lollobrigida, the dramatic adaptation "Doctor Zhivago" (1965) with Omar Sharif and the horror feature "Frankenstein Created Woman" (1967) with Peter Cushing. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes" (1970) with Robert Stephens, "On the Buses" (1971) with Reg Varney and "One of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing" (1975) with Helen Hayes. He also appeared in the Anthony Quinn drama "Mohammad Messenger of God" (1976). Madden was most recently credited in "Virus" (1999) with Jamie Lee Curtis. Madden passed away in February 1976 at the age of 72.
