With her exotic good looks, Reagan Gomez-Preston was an instantly noticeable presence in film and TV. She worked chiefly in the latter medium, starting with a small role in the 1995 TV movie remake of the Disney switched-identity comedy "Freaky Friday." Her big break came around that time when she got a role in "The Parent 'Hood" (1995), the Robert Townsend-produced sitcom about an upscale African-American family in New York City. She played Zaria Peterson, the rebellious teenage daughter of the lead characters. That show's run ended in 1999, but by then Gomez-Preston had established herself as a familiar face on television. She put in guest appearances in several other series, including "ER" and "JAG" (both in 2003), before snagging another regular role. This time, she played the capable office manager of a matchmaking company in the short-lived "Love, Inc." (2005). Her next big part was in the animation sphere, voicing Roberta Tubbs, the perky teenage stepdaughter of the title character in the "Family Guy" spinoff "The Cleveland Show" (2009).
