Red West was an actor who has created his niche in the dramatic film. West began his entertainment career acting in films like the Elvis Presley musical comedy "Clambake" (1967). He also starred in the TV movies "The Concrete Cowboys" (1979-1980), "Angel City" (CBS, 1980-81) and "Coach of the Year" (NBC, 1980-81). He next focused his entertainment career on film, appearing in the Rob Estes action picture "Trapper County War" (1989), the Patrick Swayze action movie "Road House" (1989) and "The Legend of Grizzly Adams" (1990). He also appeared in "Raw Nerve" (1991) with Glenn Ford. He spent the nineties through the early 2000s tackling film roles in "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" (1998), the dramatic comedy "Cookie's Fortune" (1999) with Glenn Close and the dramedy "Forty Shades of Blue" (2005) with Rip Torn. He also appeared in "Glory Road" (2006) and "Goodbye Solo" (2009). West most recently acted in the Josh Duhamel dramatic adaptation "Safe Haven" (2013).
