Richard Crane was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Crane began his acting career with roles in such films as "Susan and God" (1940), "This Time For Keeps" (1942) and the Claudette Colbert drama "So Proudly We Hail" (1943). He also appeared in the drama "Happy Land" (1943) with Don Ameche, the western "Riders of the Deadline" (1943) with Andy Clyde and "None Shall Escape" (1944). He continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties and the fifties, appearing in "Triple Threat" (1948), the George Brent adventure "Angel on the Amazon" (1948) and the action film "Dynamite" (1949) with William Gargan. He also appeared in the drama "A Lady Without Passport" (1950) with Hedy Lamarr. In the latter part of his career, he continued to act in the Tyrone Power biopic "The Eddy Duchin Story" (1956), "The Deep Six" (1957) with Alan Ladd and "The Alligator People" (1959) with Beverly Garland. He also appeared in the drama "The Boy Who Caught a Crook" (1961) with Wanda Hendrix and the Bobby Vinton action movie "Surf Party" (1964). Crane was most recently credited in the thriller "The Unborn" (1991) with Brooke Adams. Crane passed away in March 1969 at the age of 51.
