A successful actor, Roberto Nobile lent his talents to the big screen, most notably in drama. Nobile began his acting career with roles in such films as the comedy adventure "I Miei Primi Quarant'Anni" (1987) with Carol Alt, the Margherita Buy drama "La Settimana Della Sfinge" (1990) and the drama "Everybody's Fine" (1991) with Marcello Mastroianni. He also appeared in the Gian Maria Volonte drama "Open Doors" (1991). He kept working in film throughout the nineties and the early 2000s, starring in "Il Giudice Ragazzino" (1994) with Giulio Scarpati, the Silvio Orlando comedic adaptation "La Scuola" (1995) and the drama "Santo Stefano" (1997) with Claudio Amendolo. He also appeared in "Prime luci del' alba" (1999) and "The Son's Room" (2002) with Nanni Moretti. His work around this time also included a part on the TV movie "In Love and War" (CBS, 2001-02). Recently, he tackled roles in the Diane Lane comedy adaptation "Under the Tuscan Sun" (2003), "Nine" (2009) with Daniel Day-Lewis and "Quiet Chaos" (2009). He also worked in television during these years, including a part on "Borgia" (Netflix, 2010-15). He also had parts in the miniseries "Pope John Paul II" (2005-06) and "Zen" (2010-11). Nobile most recently acted in the Michel Piccoli comedy "We Have a Pope" (2012).
