As the son of two successful actors, Leonard Sachs and Eleanor Summerfield, it's not so surprising that Robin Sachs went on to follow in their footsteps. After high school, he studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in his hometown of London, England. When he finished his studies, he honed his skills by performing in all sorts of productions in repertory theaters in and around the city. Before long, he was performing on London's West End stages with such illustrious actors as Sir Jon Gielgud, Judi Dench, and Rex Harrison. In 1972, he made his first on-screen appearance in "Henry VIII and His Six Wives." From there, he went on to become a regular on British television. He appeared in such programs as the spy show "Chessgame" in 1983, the crime drama "Lady Killers" in 1981, and that same year, the miniseries "Brideshead Revisited," based on the novel by Evelyn Waugh. He had always dreamed of working in the United States and finally got the opportunity in 1991, when he was offered roles on the private investigator drama "Jake and the Fatman" and the TV movie "Dynasty: The Reunion." From there, he continued to work in Los Angeles, appearing in such fare as the sci-fi shows "Babylon 5" and "Star Trek: Voyager," the spy drama "Alias," and the heist film "Ocean's Eleven."
