Rodney Eastman landed a major career break when he was cast as one of the remaining Elm Street children in 1987's "Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warrior," about homicidal maniac Freddy Krueger's bloody war against a suburban town. He portrayed Joey, a shy, mute teen who battles Krueger from inside his dreams in both "Dream Warrior" and "Nightmare on Elm Street 4: Dream Masters." Eastman worked steadily through the '90s in numerous small roles. He appeared as a low-level gangster in the TV movie, "Mobsters," about the real-life exploits of notorious criminals Bugsy Seigel and Meyer Lansky, and played a sleazy rock singer in several episodes of the primetime soap opera, "Melrose Place." Eastman played Christina Ricci's sweet but dim high school boyfriend in "The Opposite of Sex," a black comedy that follows Ricci's, a bitter and opportunistic pregnant teenager, as she manipulates and upends the lives of everyone around her. After one-off roles in TV series like the procedural dramas, "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," and "Criminal Minds," Eastman was cast as a seedy drug dealer with a hidden agenda in "Rule of Three," an indie thriller that garnered critical acclaim from numerous film festivals.
