Roy Barcroft was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Early on in his acting career, Barcroft landed roles in various films, including "The Stranger From Arizona" (1938), "The Phantom Creeps" (1939) and the George "Gabby" Hayes western "The Renegade Trail" (1939). He also appeared in the Russell Hayden western "Silver on the Sage" (1939), the Russell Hayden western "The Showdown" (1940) and the action picture "Yukon Flight" (1940) with James Newill. He continued to work steadily in film throughout the forties, appearing in the western "Hidden Valley Outlaws" (1944) with Billy Elliott, the western "Lights of Old Santa Fe" (1944) with Roy Rogers and "D-Day on Mars" (1945) with Dennis Moore. He also appeared in the western "Bells of Rosarita" (1945) with Roy Rogers. Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in the Rex Allen Sr. western "The Arizona Cowboy" (1950), "Desperadoes of the West" (1950) with Richard Powers and "Radar Men From the Moon" (1952). He also appeared in "The Captive of Billy the Kid" (1952) and the Brian Donlevy crime picture "Hoodlum Empire" (1952). Barcroft was most recently credited in the dramatic adaptation "Monte Walsh" (1970) with Lee Marvin. Barcroft passed away in November 1969 at the age of 67.
